How do I give my talk?

If you are giving a talk in-person, visit the speaker ready table, located in the back of the Granite Ballrooms, prior to your session date and time to have your talk uploaded.

If you are giving a talk remotely, you will receive an email with an invitation to a Zoom link for the day and time of your oral talk. Locate this email and click on the link 15 minutes prior to the start of your talk so you can rehearse to make sure your computer settings work properly. 

Practice your presentation in a quiet, comfortable well-lit area.

All oral presentations in which the speaker is onsite in Texas will simply use pre-programmed Zoom on the speaker launchpad in the designated meeting room.

All oral presentations in which the speaker is not onsite in Texas will be through "screen share", so it is important that you practice your presentation on the laptop or computer you plan to use on the date and time of your scheduled session.

• This Zoom URL will access the assigned session as the role of a presenter.
• Do not share this URL as it will not work for anyone else and will expire once your session is over.

Poster Presentations

Posters allow far more time and flexibility and are the default presentation type. Posters are ideal for using charts, graphs or detailed visual aids. The poster area serves as the meeting’s social center.

Posters will be displayed in the Tower Palm Pavilion throughout the conference at the Horseshoe Bay Resort.

Check the Block Schedule for Poster Viewing Hours:

Poster Move-In: Beginning Sunday, April 7 at 9am CST posterboards will be moved in. You will be able to put your posters up after 6:30 pm. 

Poster Move-Out: All posters need to be removed by 2:00pm CST Friday, April 12

Posters not claimed by this time will be recycled. 

Posters must fit within a physical space of 4 feet by 4 feet if in person. If you are a remote presenter, a PDF file of your poster must be uploaded for the program.

Session Chair Information

Regular contributed oral talks are 15 minutes.
(12 minutes for talk + 3 minutes for questions/transition to the next speaker)

Special Session talks vary in length.
As the Chair and Session Organizer, you will control the length of each presentation.
